Incidentally, can you actually cross examine a parrot?  :-\

- which probably means they did not cross examine the parrot. Poor thing must have been traumatised.

But yes you can cross examine a parrot, a donkey or even a chipmunk in court! What you get outta them is another matter - innit!  :D ;D
